Bhex's Top 10 Favorite Glay Songs
- Kuchibiru = Loved the video first, then all my walls came crashing down. ^_^ This song started me on Glay.
- Yuuwaku = The song most people prefer to place at the top spot of THEIR "fave Glay song" lists. I get why; it's very catchy and upbeat. Quite the dose if you need an upper without taking anything toxic.
- Kanojo no Modern = The PV got me, so sue me. ^_^ Teru looking like a long-haired hippie-era Iori Yagami...hehehe
- Manatsu no Tobira = Another of those Glay songs that got me with the PV. Were we saying "hippie-era" a while back? ^_^
= I've heard and loved two mixes of this song, the "single version," and the "Glay version." But the Glay version reels me in more thoroughly.
- Yes, Summerdays = Like most Glay songs, the stanzas can just go back to wherever Takuro pulled them out from -- but the chorus ROCKS. Teru simply rolls the word "Ikusen" off his tongue like he means it. ^_^
- Winter Again = ...because I become a smiling ninny whenever Teru throws his voice over to the far walls, as he goes "ooh-woo!"
- More Than Love = Memorable
"Smoke on the Water"-type intro. Also love the way Teru shouts the second line of the chorus. Otherwise...sounds like an ad jingle.
- Young Oh! Oh!/You May Dream = These two share one common denominator: I don't play them in their entirety. In "Young Oh! Oh!", I only listen to the first line of each chorus ("Wakasa da ne, wakasa da ne, tokidoki wa jama ni natte mo" and the other parts that sound like it). In "You May Dream," just the fast, angry bridge filled with English lyrics, which I can NOT understand, thank you, Teru.
- Missing You/Rain = Like many Glay songs, the chorus was the one thing about "Missing You" that first hooked me in. Coincidentally, "Missing You" is the first dark Glay song I've ever heard (an achievement, Takuro-san and Teru-san! Kanpai!!).
= It hurts to realize, though, that Teru is already having problems hitting those high notes. T_T (Tsk tsk, Teru-san, you and Hyde-san had better watch the goddamn cigarettes.)
= BTW, the violins were a nice touch to the gothic feel of the song. But the acoustic guitar sections were Not That Great.
= Oh, and YOSHIKI PLAYS THE PIANO IN "RAIN," THAT'S WHY.
- Soul Love = sorry as it sounds, I like this song coz the video is Glay's genkiest to date ^_-
