Personality Types Based on Blood Type

I took up Introduction to Psychology sometime in the haze that is my youth, and I believe there's a single scientific word for this sort of personality casting, but can't remember it right now -- could anyone help me out?

Anyway, here's what I know:

Type A - Methodical, Cerebral

Not a few A's project anality and the illusion of being worrywarts. These are the busybodies of a group, the ones so eager to get filled in on, if not get a hand into, the planning and organization of activities. However, they _do_ have that special ability to view difficult issues objectively, then stage the best attack strategy on the spot -- if they don't suffer a nervous breakdown first. A's are perfectionists, who see their projects through while mulling over small details. Sometimes their focus and dedication to solving the challenges they face alienate them from the people they are close to, making them seem cold and aloof. And A people choose their loved ones carefully; their small posse of friends and supporters matters the world to them. Once A people have set aside their projects and their worries, they give their all to their personal lives, as if pleasing their partners is their next big project.

Type B - Temperamental, Emotional

B people feel very strongly over a lot of things, though they may not always be able to explain why. They are easy to hype, to shake off balance, to coerce into losing confidence in themselves. They may seem to be an emotionally unstable bunch, but they are actually only the most self-conscious and sensitive. The most successful B people convert their tumultous feelings into energy that fuels their drive to excel. B artists are outstanding, once they are able to collect and focus their talent. B people are ardent lovers. Once they have chosen an object of affection, they regard this person as if he/she were the pillar supporting their very existence. In love they demand much, and are extremely self-critical of their own attitudes, so that a lot of B people appear "torpe" (local word for "weak-hearted when it comes to confessing one's true feelings to the source of one's distress"). They prefer to express their frustration indirectly, as in burying their heads in their work or their arts.

Type AB - Compassionate, Empathic

The AB person is a warm, huggable teddy bear: always there for you in your time of need. AB's make good supporters and charismatic leaders, being real "men/women of the masses." They generally make good guidance counselors. They forgive their transgressors at the drop of a sincere apology. Their hearts go out easily to the weak, the innocent, and the defeated. The young AB often opts to mope over the emotional aspect of an issue (i.e., coworkers' distress, if this way is "the best way to go," etc) -- but this doesn't mean he/she doesn't act quickly to resolve a dilemma. Later in his/her life he/she is usually able to segregate "the most workable solution" from "the ideal solution" and be at peace with reality. The AB showers his/her object of affection with attention, for it is probably the worst feeling in the world for him/her when a loved one is upset; if one cannot rub off hatred from the world, one can at least rub off hatred from one's own radius of movement.

Type O - Sexy, Charming

Most O's are fun-loving and carefree, preferring to leave the fuss over the future to the A's, the fuss over the past to the B's, and the fuss over the present to the AB's. Worrying is probably their least favorite strenuous activity -- though of course things to worry about pile up. When they hit a speed bump in their lives, they turn to introspection; and then expect them to find a sympathetic ear to listen to their action-packed reminiscing as naturally as a dousing rod finds water. O's are lucky that way. There's just something about O's that makes them so attractive. Perhaps it's the sense of goodwill radiating from their smiles, or their self-assured air. O's make outstanding stage performers, television personalities, pop idols...in other words, lives of the party. Quiet or boisterous, one thing's for sure: the O always looks so cool. Though O's abhor deception of any kind, they can be gullible. They are heartbreakers, but their hearts are easily broken. Fortunately for them, supporters are always at hand, so they don't stay down for very long. As lovers they can be pretty possessive; they know they have power over their partners, but they also know they aren't the only powerful O's in the world!
